Google has always loved good content. In the beginning of this month, Google rolled out its new “in-depth articles” feature, aiming at providing a good reading experience for users who are interested in an indepth read about certain topics. “Our research indicates perhaps 10% of people’s daily information needs fit this category,” mentioned Pandu Nayak, the member of technical staff who declared the launch of this new feature on Google’s official blog.
The blog displays the following image as an example of the block that would soon appear on Google Search results:
Google starts this new feature on google.com in English and is expected to be implemented in other languages and regions. The new feature would not only publish popular authors and publishers, but also less-known publishers and blogs that provide quality articles.
Introducing logo with in-depth article search results
The logo that appears in the snippet of the search results helps the users understand the source of the article at a glance. Google instructs the webmasters to create a google+ page with the company logo, which when linked to the website brings the logo/icon along with the search results. It is time for digital marketeres in India to gear up for better, in-depth content to be honoured by Google with their latest feature.
